Sheree Burnett

Sheree is a consultant of Christian Burnett Solicitors & Attorneys. Further to practicing as a Solicitor in England & Wales and, more recently, as an Attorney-at-law  in the jurisdiction of Jamaica, she specialises in advising a range of businesses on commercial disputes, regulatory issues and intellectual property protection locally and internationally.

Sheree's contentious experience has been developed across the energy, local authority, consumer credit, enforcement and recruitment sectors. She regularly advises clients who are owed money through the course of their business and undertakes recovery action on their behalf including drafting pre-action letters, issuing claims, enforcing local and foreign Judgments and conducting insolvency work to include statutory demands and winding-up petitions. Sheree obtains successful yet practical solutions for all her clients' issues, whether through negotiation, mediation or litigation.

In the non-contentious arena, Sheree prides herself on her straightforward and commercial approach to regulatory issues. She has acted for FCA authorised institutions and other financial entities in responding to preliminary enquiries from regulators, investigations and enforcement actions, and advising in relation to  regulatory applications. She also lends a hand to the Intellectual Property department of the firm, offering  protection advice for start-ups, SMEs & corporates to ensure that their IP strategy fits closely with the overall business strategy.

Prior to her new venture with Christian Burnett, Sheree trained and qualified as a Solicitor with a  Legal 500 law firm in Kent, gaining her expertise in Civil Litigation, debt recovery and commercial dispute resolution for privately owned business, SME's, major national organisations  and public bodies. As well as private practice,  Sheree has gained in-house  experience as a litigation lawyer to the UK's largest judicial services group as well as to a Fortune Global 500 company.

Outside of the office, Sheree's creative talents come alive through her ability to sing, produce, record and perform her own soulful material whenever the opportunity arises. She also enjoys travelling and becoming culturally acquainted, and has  discovered a new love for cooking healthy caribbean cuisine.
